You’ve found probably the most charming student place in Trondheim!

The Student Cabin is placed close to Gråkallen hill in the middle of Bymarka, the forrest west of Trondheim. The Cabin has been run by students, for students for over a hundred years.

The cabin is open for visits this weekend, from saturday at 10am untill sunday 4pm. We serve lunch and dinner saturday, and breakfast and lunch sunday.

If you wish to sleep over at the cabin we offer a full weekend pack for 350 kr. We have a limited number of beds, so you can prebook here: https://studenterhytta.hoopla.no/sales/994600892

Lunch sat. 12am-2pm: Pancakes with lots of extras
Dinner sat. 6-8pm:    Red thai pan with chicken
Breakfas sun. 9-10am:  The cooks oatmeal
Lunch sun. 1-3pm:      Green pea and coconut milk soup with bacon

Lunch:              75 kr

Full weekend: 350 kr

To get here you can go by bike/car/taxi up the road to Skistua in Bymarka. The cabin lies 200 m past Skistua. Or you can take the tram to Lian and take a nice walk (4,5 km) up to The Cabin. See the road description.
OBS: For the time being there are NO Atb buses going up to Skistua, so the closest public transport is the tram to Lian or bus to Byåsen butikksenter (5 km). A taxi from Byåsen will cost about 200 kr.

At the moment we have limited OPENINGS due to corona and work being done at the cabin. We are planning for more openings and hope to be open weekly this fall.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out at the cabin, running the kitchen, doing maintenance, planning events and much more. If you’re interested in joining and help run one of student Trondheims most traditional institutions, send us an e-mail at opptak@studenterhytta.org.

If you have other questions you didn’t find the answer to here, please contact us on Facebook as @studenterhytta or e-mail at post@studenterhytta.org.

Hope to see you at the cabin!
