Deadline September 6th, 23:59. We will set up interviews consecutively. There will be a training at the cabin the 13th of September.
Open positions at the board
Booking chief: We are looking for a booking chief that can administer the bookings at the cabin. Your job as a booking responsible will also be to keep the contact with the bookers. This includes to inform them about the prices, make agreements concerning the rental contract and answer questions from the bookers. The booking chief is responsible for updating the cabin’s calender and make sure the rest of the board is familiar with the events. The position requires no pre-knowledge.
Event coordinator: Studenterhytta also host its own events in addition to renting the cabin out for external events. This can be both events only for the board and cabin group, or open events. The events range from theme parties and beer tasting, to quiz and sport events. In this position you will be free to use your imagination and creativity! As the event coordinator you will be the head of the event committee. Your tasks here is to lead meetings and plan, organise and execute the events. The position requires no pre-knowledge.
The cabin group
as a cabin group member you will be part of the daily operations at the cabin, and you will also be able to enjoy the cabin for private use as well as together with the other group members and the members of the board. We divide the cabin group into three sub-groups, which makes it possible for the members to focus on what they find most interesting.
Sous-chef: Would you like to be a part of building a kitchen from the ground? We are looking for sous-chefs for our newly started volunteer-based kitchen! As a sous-chef your tasks will be to develop the menu, make routines for cleaning and safety, and order products and equipment for the kitchen. You will work closely with the kitchen chief and the other sous-chefs and have a lot of freedom in your position. The position requires no pre-knowledge, however, a passion for food is positive.
The kitchen group: Are you tired of eating frozen pizza for dinner and want to learn more about food? Or do you already know a lot and want to show off your skills to the students of Trondheim? Apply for a position in the kitchen group then! As part of the kitchen group you will help the kitchen chief and the sous-chefs with preparing and making the meals at the cabin, both for the open days and the bigger events. The position requires no pre-knowledge, only an interest in food and kitchen and a wish to make a good food experience for our guests.
The maintenance group: are you worried that your studies would turn you into an office rat? Do you wish to use your hands, body, and soul more actively in your everyday life? Then you should apply for a position in the maintenance group. Here you will participate in everything from painting and carpentry to smaller maintenance work.
The event committee: In the event committee you get the opportunity to plan and execute Studenterhytta’s own events. We want new ideas for upcoming events and are looking for creative and crafty people for this.
Through all the positions you will get to enjoy the cabin for private use. This is perfect if you want to have easy access to Bymarka and get away from the city life now and then. If you are interested in beer, there will also be opportunities for beer tastings with the board and the cabin group, as well as other social activities!
